Sympathy cards are a challenge for me, but when you need one - you need one. I have never done one with a cross before but there is this beautiful cross on the Easter 2010 cartridge that I wanted to try so here it is.
The cross and cross shadow are cut at 3" with the 2010 Easter cart and the wreath behind the cross shadow is cut at 2" with the Cindy Loo cartridgge. The cross has intricate detail and I cut one as is, and another one with the detail hidden using the hide contours feature of my gypsy - love that feature! Then I completely covered the detailed cut with Ranger Glossy Accent and when dry, glued it to the cut that had the detail hidden - which I had sprayed with pearl Glimmermist. I think it gave it some wonderful dimension.
My DP is leftover from my last card - Banana Pudding by Luxe, solid paper and sentiment from Papertrey Ink. Ribbon and pearls from my stash. I also used nesties labels 1 on this card. I don't know if you can tell but the card is a little different in that a 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 white card is mounted on a 5x7 flat piece of the green cardstock. Just something a little different.
