Welcome (or welcome back) to the final day of the Cricut Card Fairies Birthday Blog Hop. It has been 3 years since our leader Crystal started the Cricut Card Fairies Army. That is 3 years of sharing handmade cards, smiles, virtual hugs and wishes for people in need of just those things. Please visit Crystal's blog to find out more about the CCFA, and if you just happened upon my blog by accident - you can start the blog hop at the beginning while you are there.
I have CANDY - Hello Kitty Greetings & Forever Young cartridges. See my post for day 1 of the blog hop here to find out how you could win BOTH cartridges!! Good Luck!!
For my final post, I stuck with the birthday theme. Today I had a big chunk of time just for crafting so I decided to challenge myself a bit. I decided to - 1) make three birthday cards, 2) only use paper from my scrap pile, and 3) and this was the hardest - make only masculine birthday cards!! I know that is a hard one for alot of people, including me! So check out my cards below, I hope you enjoy. And please click here for my day 1 post because I have BLOG CANDY!! I am giving away 2 brand new cricut cartridges and I don't want you to miss the chance to win one OR BOTH of them!!
Happy Birthday cut from Stamping cartridge at 1 3/4", the chipboard alpha pieces are from The Girl's Paperie, all paper from my scrap pile, inks are Tim Holtz distress inks, twine from my stash, Memento markers. The band in the center was made by pulling my bone folder across a strip of cardstock in the same way you use scissors to curl ribbon. Just keep pulling your bone folder across the strip of card stock alternating sides until the edges start to separate, then peel the layers apart. I hope that makes sense - I love the suede look this gives the piece.
Relax and Pup cut from Paper Pups cartridge, Relax cut at 1" and pup at 1 1/2", paper from my scraps, inks are Tim Holtz distressed inks, Memento markers.
This is actually for my hubby's birthday. He always teases me for getting lost - which I do alot, he is right - so I liked the little inside joke to this card, the idea was based on one from my last Cardmaker magazine. I cut the compass from the Stamping cartridge at 1 1/2", paper from my scraps, inks are Tim Holtz distressed inks. The map I found online and printed, then tore, distressed and inked. The phrase is also digital. I think the phrasing on this card could be changed to fit any guy, not just a husband.
I hope you enjoyed these projects, please click here to find out how you can win 1 or both of the cartridges I am giving away, and to find links to all the other blogs in the hop! Thanks for stopping by!!

SUPER masculine cards! I am not good at making cards but I don't even attempt to make them for men. Yours are fabulous!
Thanks for sharing! I love your projects!

Great job on all of your cards. I love the one you did for your hubby. My hubby is the one who always gets lost in our family, LOL.
